Dr. Sanja Hromiš is a specialist in pulmonology and a subspecialist in allergology, employed at the Institute for Lung Diseases of Vojvodina since 1999. She obtained the title of Primarius in 2013 and completed her PhD in 2016 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad, where she was appointed as an Assistant Professor in 2022. She has continued her professional development through numerous educational programs both domestically and internationally.
She is an invited speaker at numerous national and international conferences and a long-time lecturer at the European Spirometry School (ERS Spirometry School) at local and regional courses. She is the chair of the working group for the National Guidelines for Good Clinical Practice for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Asthma (2025). She has published numerous papers in leading European and global journals, as well as chapters in textbooks on healthcare management and in an international textbook on allergic diseases in pregnancy.
She is the national leader of Serbia in the international collaboration of the Severe Heterogeneous Asthma Research Collaboration, Patient Centred, ERS CRC – SHARP, supported by ERS. She is the president of the Allergology Section of DLV SLD and the Asthma Section of UPS, and an active member of ERS, EAACI, and professional sections of DLV SLD.
