The Institute for Lung Diseases of Vojvodina conducts scientific research and educational activities.
It serves as the teaching base for the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Novi Sad, where instruction is provided in Serbian and English for students of general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, postgraduate education, and activities for obtaining medical specializations in internal medicine, general medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, pathology, radiology, medical rehabilitation, clinical pharmacology and pharmacy, subspecialties in pulmonology and oncology, and for obtaining academic degrees of master’s and doctor of science (second and third degree studies).
Practical activities are conducted at the Clinics and Institutes for nurses and technicians, radiological and laboratory technicians, physiotherapists, and for students of secondary medical schools.
The Institute employs 117 medical doctors, 49 of whom hold the title of Doctor of Medical Sciences.
The title of teacher or associate at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Novi Sad is held by 34 doctors, employed at the Institute for Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina (May 2022).
