Jelena Isaković, née Jovanović, was born in Sarajevo in 1976, where she completed primary school. She finished the general high school 'Stojan Cerović' in Nikšić. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad in 2002 with an average grade of 9.15. She worked at the General Hospital Vrbas in the hemodialysis department from 2004 to 2007, and then in the anesthesia and intensive care department from 2007 to 2015. She passed the specialist exam in anesthesiology and reanimatology in 2011 with the highest grade. She completed training in acupuncture in the field of traditional-complementary-alternative medicine in 2012, with a license to practice issued by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia. Since 2015, she has been working at the Clinic for Thoracic Surgery at the Institute for Lung Diseases of Vojvodina as an anesthesiologist in the operating room. She completed her subspecialty training in intensive care medicine in 2024. She is an active member of professional associations SLD, LKV, UAIS, ESAIC, ESRA, ESCIM, IFA, and ERS. She has published several papers as an author and co-author and has been a lecturer at European and national congresses. She is married and a mother of two children. She speaks English.
