Ana Komlenić is a Master Psychologist with 17 years of work experience in the field of Clinical and Health Psychology. She is a doctoral candidate in Industrial-Organizational Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad, where she further focuses on the area of work capacity of employees with chronic illnesses. Her research work is directed towards the impact of psychological factors on health perception and work capacity in patients with asthma. She actively participates in domestic and international professional and scientific conferences as a presenter of scientific papers and lecturer.
Areas of interest include Health Psychology, psychological mechanisms of adaptation to illness in patients with pulmonary diseases, work capacity and adaptation to working conditions in the presence of illness, neuropsychological diagnostics, psychological treatments and support for chronic conditions, as well as the application of psychological interventions in a hospital environment.
She is employed at the Institute for Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina, in the position of psychologist in hospital departments, where she works with patients of various diagnostic categories. As a member of multidisciplinary teams, she participates in working with patients, conducting psychological and neuropsychological diagnostics, psychological treatments, and counseling, providing continuous support to individuals with chronic and life-limiting illnesses, as well as their families, with the aim of facilitating adaptation to changes caused by illness. In her work, she applies the principles of Gestalt therapy, as well as techniques from a cognitive-behavioral approach.
