I was born on April 29, 1964. I enrolled in medical studies in the 1982/1983 academic year and graduated in 1988 with an average grade of 9.03. In 1990, I established a permanent employment relationship at the Institute for Lung Diseases of Vojvodina in Sremska Kamenica. I passed the specialist exam in pneumophthisiology in 1995, and in the same year, I was appointed as an assistant trainee at the Department of Internal Medicine (Pulmonology), and in 1999, I received the title of regular assistant. In 1997, I defended my master's thesis, and in March 2006, I defended my doctoral dissertation titled: "Clinical Significance of Anti-Inflammatory Therapy for Rhinitis on the Course and Prognosis of Allergic Bronchial Asthma." In 2007, I was appointed as an associate professor, in 2012 as an associate professor, and in 2017 as a full professor. In 2015, I passed the subspecialty exam in Pulmonology.

In 2002, I received the Beringer Award for work in the field of COPD at the ERS congress, in 2003 a certificate of appreciation, and in 2016 a diploma from the Medical Society of Vojvodina. In September 2002, I received the title of primary physician. In May 2006, I spent time in the USA for training at the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

I began my scientific work during my studies. I am the author or co-author of more than 200 scientific papers published domestically and internationally. Total citations 376, h-index 9. I have mentored several student papers, final theses, subspecialty papers, and doctoral dissertations, and I am a member of committees for defending final papers at undergraduate and doctoral studies, for taking the specialist exam in Internal Medicine, and for appointments at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad.

I am a member of the committee for the specialist exam in Pulmonology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Banja Luka. From 2010 to 2014, I was the president of the Pneumophthisiology Section of the Medical Society of Vojvodina of the Serbian Medical Society. I am a member of the Expert Subcommittee of the Republic Health Insurance Fund from 2011 to 2014. I was a member of the Expert Committee for Respiratory Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia in 2012-2013. In 2013, I participated in the development and implementation of the National Guidelines for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and in 2025 for Asthma.

I am a member of the Committee for Ethical Issues at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Novi Sad, elected in 2016. I am a member of the Committee for Medical Education of the Regional Medical Chamber of Vojvodina, elected in 2018. I am a member of the Editorial Board for the publishing activity of the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad, elected in 2019. I am a member of the Expert Council for Arts of the Senate of the University of Novi Sad from 2021 to 2024. I am a member of the European Respiratory Society, the Medical Society of Vojvodina of the Serbian Medical Society, and the Respiratory Association of Serbia.

I currently work as the Assistant Director for Educational and Scientific Research Activities and Head of the Asthma Department at the Institute for Lung Diseases of Vojvodina.
