Stanislava Petrović was born in Novi Sad, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad in 2004. Since 2005, she has been working at the Clinic for Thoracic Surgery, Department of Anesthesia, Institute for Lung Diseases of Vojvodina in Sremska Kamenica. She completed her specialization in Anesthesiology and Reanimatology in 2012 at the Faculty of Medicine in Novi Sad. After finishing her subspecialty training, with the defense of her thesis "Effects of Preoperative Pregabalin Administration on the Intensity of Acute Post-Thoracotomy Pain," she became actively involved in the pain therapy clinic, with a special interest in acute postoperative pain.
She is a member of national and international associations of anesthesiologists. She has published several authored and co-authored papers in the field of anesthesiology and intensive care. She has also delivered numerous lectures in the same field. She speaks English and French.
She works as the Head of the Anesthesia Department at the Clinic for Thoracic Surgery IPBV.

In addition to my work as a consulting anesthesiologist at the Special Gynecological Hospital "Genesis" Novi Sad, from 2019 to 2022, I worked as a consulting anesthesiologist at the General Hospital "Aurora" Belgrade, involved in the creation and composition of a specialized team for bariatric surgery. During that period, I independently managed anesthesia and, together with a team of young doctors, monitored the immediate postoperative recovery of over 500 bariatric patients.
