The professional development of employed healthcare workers and associates has been encouraged since the establishment of the institution. Continuous education is conducted in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia through participation in accredited conferences, study visits domestically and abroad, training in postgraduate studies and medical specializations, and publishing professional publications. The goal is to monitor and adopt innovations in medical science and healthcare, as well as skills to improve the quality of work and healthcare services.
Each year, approximately twenty professional meetings are held in our institution, which are accredited by the Health Council of Serbia. The speakers are healthcare workers and associates employed at IPBV or in other institutions, by invitation.
The Institute for Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina coordinates continuous education for physicians in the field of pneumophthisiology, and is the organizer of other forms of continuous education (courses, congresses, or symposiums) attended by healthcare professionals and associates from our country or abroad.
Continuous education and training enable the extension of licenses and demonstrate professional qualifications in the Medical Chamber and the Chamber of Nurses and Technicians of Serbia.
