Hospital Pharmacy

At the end of 1961, the Institute for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis began operations, and within the Institute, the hospital pharmacy was established as its organizational unit.

The hospital pharmacy conducts pharmaceutical healthcare activities, which include the supply of medications, ensuring rational pharmacotherapy within the implementation of the pharmaceutical healthcare protection concept, and other tasks in accordance with legal regulations in the field of medications and healthcare.

In the pharmacy, work processes are carried out that encompass a range of activities: planning, procurement, appropriate storage, and dispensing of medications based on prescriptions and requests. Health promotion and disease prevention, patient counseling, monitoring of adverse drug reactions, and management of pharmaceutical waste.
